TDS Destroys McCain in Best Bush Clone Montage To Date

Stewart begins the clip with a $300K+ Cindy McCain outfit that would make the Cash Money Millionaires blush. Then he points out the errant stagecraft (Walter Reid Middle school, Lindsey Graham extolling victory with a cemetery backdrop, etc), impales Palin for her 27 million dollars earmark panhandle and exposes the hypocrisy of Veterans mocking Kerry's Vietnam service at one RNC convention, while soaking up McCain's POW-ness at another.

But the best part is at 4:20 (coincidence) into the clip. In this segment, Daily Show probably takes the cake for Bush/McCain cloned footage montage. This is as ad-worthy as it gets.

The video (4:20 in):

Unfortunately, the clip is edited so cleverly that a transcript is impossible to draft. My sincere apologies for the video impaired.

Yeah, I saw that (2.00 / 3)

the "echoing words" bit was BRUTAL, and surprisingly (shockingly, really) on-message with the actual campaign.

"McSame" is sticking.

We Need to Run This! (2.00 / 6)

I think we should run ~6:50 - 7:50 as our commercial and demolish McCain with it.

why are the potentially best obama TV ads always on comedy central or Youtube.

you'd hope someone from the campaign will see this

mostly because (2.00 / 3)

of the concentration of "traditional" media in the pockets of a very few white male arseholes who have done their level best to take any kind of integrity or honesty out of their "news" organizations. Leaving TDS as the only place to find any kind of honesty.

This is more frightening than funny (2.00 / 3)

Re: TDS Skewers McCain in Best Bush Clone Montage (2.00 / 5)

It really bothers me that the DNC didn't think to edit together the Bush/McCain speeches to solidify the argument that they were one & the same.  I mean they should still ensure it is circulated but it takes some of the power out of it.  That is what I mean by good marketing; the GOP would be all over that & this is what upsets me alot about the campaign right now. We shouldn't lose; truth is on our side but b/c of our ineffective marketing abilities we very well may again.

Thanks! (2.00 / 3)

I saw this today!  I was crying as I was watching it, that's how hard I was laughing?  How CAN we get the Obama campaign to see this?  John Stewart has some GREAT video clips of FOX turnarounds on issues when it comes to democrats vs Palin and even Palin on women in politics.  WE NEED TO USE THESE!  People who are NOT internet saavvy need to see what crap these people are filled with!!

Thanks for posting this!

Re: TDS Skewers (2.00 / 3)

Now that I thin of it, you may want to change the title.  Stewart is always skewering McCain (and, when he has the opportunity, Obama.)  In this case he destroys McCain.

Re: TDS Destroys McCain in Best Bush Clone Montage (2.00 / 2)

That was fabulous.

We all know Bush is a liar, but it's crazy to see how blatantly false he was on the campaign trail.  I knew McCain was just like Bush, but I didn't know that his stump speech was a word for word copy.  Yikes!
